IntelliLabel Enhances QAD Containerization

This powerful option provides many opportunities to create unique and productive processes without customizing QAD. Intellilabel uses a serialized bar code or RFID tag to aggregate a hierarchy of items and related attributes (lot, weight, machine, location, PO, etc.). A single scan of the Intellilabel launches any QAD transaction on all its associated items. Statuses assigned to Intellilabels error-proof operations by allowing or preventing specific operations. In addition, Intellilabeling provides a cradle-to-grave traceability history!

Manufacturing completions, back-flushes, inventory moves, shipment picks, verifications, etc. are streamlined by reducing the number of scans, thereby increasing productivity and minimizing data entry errors.

IntelliLabels may be nested within each other. For example, a box of 12 lot and/or serialized parts is assigned an IntelliLabel license plate. Then, that box becomes one of 12 boxes placed in a master carton with its own IntelliLabel. That master carton is then placed on a pallet which has its own IntelliLabel. At this point, the single pallet IntelliLabel is scanned to track and trace the movement, usage and status of all of the sub-containers and parts.
